The Discovery

As they were walking through the old house they just bought their, fourteen-year-old son let out a whoop and shouted, “Hey Mom, know how you are always saying my room is a dirty mess and I should clean it more often? Well, by the looks of it whoever lived here before didn’t clean very often either, like maybe never. Come see what I found in the back bedroom closet!”

Breaking rules…

Lost in Translation’s Thursday’s Special
prompt this week

Breaking The Rules

cactus

This is my Christmas cactus breaking the rules blooming in the Spring.
I am all for any bit of rebellion that is beautiful and brings a smile.
It is not a total rebel though, it only has one flower;
a big beautiful flower that makes me smile.

Teddy and cold, Thursday’s Special

Lost in Translation’s Thursday’s Special
prompt is

COLD

teddysnow

This was Teddy’s introduction to snow.
He had no idea what to make of it.
He liked it for about 10 minutes then he was done with it.
Not the best picture but it makes me smile to remember Teddy in the snow.

Teddy’s Magic Trick…

hi peoples! it’s me, teddy.
i have sneaked onto mama’s blog
because she won’t open mine and i have something to tell you.
this will show her who the smart one is.

i have this really neat toy
well, it’s jack’s toy, too.
it’s on a stick kinda furry like with feathers on the end.
really fun when mama swirls it around and up and down
though jack is a bother and gets in the way a lot.

before mama goes to work she puts the wiggler
in the drawer and hides it away.

so how did it from here

to here
