I am sooooooooooo bored. What can I say? Mama is not paying me any attention. That makes her boring. Plus she hasn’t been on the computer which is weird. She says she needs a break because she has stuff to do. As far as I can tell that means she eats and reads…all the time. Oh, she has a to-do list. So far one thing of a gazillion has been marked off.
She said I could write this update. I had to threaten her with not nice scratches. Anyway, she said to tell you she will be back on April 1. I think that’s something called April Fool’s Day for people. I don’t think she is a Fool but I’ve been wrong about her before…like the time she oh so generously put treats in the cage…but that’s a story for another time.
Hope your days are better than what’s not going on here. I gotta go now Teddy is eating and that means he will eat everything in his bowl and mine!
I am all smiles because I am all better! I went to see the lady vet and she did a sonogram and some tests and all is well. No crystals in my bladder and no blood or infection in my pee. I am going to stay on the special diet but I can have my favorite wet food, too. Jack is happy because he likes the special food, too, and we will share.
Jack went with us to the clinic because it was time for his checkup and rabies shot. He doesn’t mind going to the vet like I do. He gets right out of the crate and into the vet’s arms. Weird! He got his shot and loved on the lady. Double weird! Anyway, he is healthy but gained 1 and 1/4 pounds. Mama says we are all going on diets because we are getting fat. Her, too.
It was a tiring day for me and Jack so we are planning on a long nap. But before I go to sleep I want to thank all of you peoples for your good thoughts and prayers and advice. It means a lot to me and Mama.
Thought I would stop in at the Tuesday Chatter Cafe while I wait for the cinnamon rolls to cool enough to put the icing on them. I told myself I would make these for tomorrow’s breakfast but of course, I will have to sample one tonight before bed. And I wonder why I never keep the weight I lose off!
It has been quiet around the place but I have gotten something done. I painted the new pantry closet and now I want to get some glass canisters for the pasta, a couple of small spice racks and a bin for the rolls of waxed paper, aluminum foil, plastic wrap, etc. Next step is to sort through the lower kitchen cabinets, clean and organize them.
Oh, and I decided on the paint for the kitchen…finally! Hope to get the paint next week and get to work. So far only one person (other than me) likes the color I chose. Everyone thinks it’s too dark. There is no window in the kitchen so the lights are on whenever anyone is in there so I think it will be fine. Besides, it’s my place, I am the only one who lives here and the only one who matters when it comes to decor choices. Well, Teddy and Jack matter but as long as their dishes have food in them and the litter box is clean they don’t care about decor.
Now I am off to ice the cinnamon rolls, put my pj’s on, grab a roll and a book and enjoy the rest of the night.
Just wanted to let you know Jack and I, mostly me,
have been worried about Mama.
First she had the plague and finally it went away.
Then she had to take an antibiotic for something, she didn’t tell me what,
and she had a very severe reaction to it.
She was really sick!
Which is why she has been missing from here.
She says she will be back to normal tomorrow.
Well, she may be here, but I am not sure about the normal part.
We love her anyway.
And if that wasn’t enough, we live in Columbia, SC.
Yep, the place in the news with all the broken roads and bridges and lots of water.
We are high and dry but didn’t have water for about 36 hours.
Go figure, so much water everywhere but not any in the pipes!
Now we have to boil the water to make it safe.
Really no big deal compared to what some are facing.
Jack and I are sending them paw pats, head bumps and purrs.
We are very thankful for all the people that are helping
our state and it’s citizens to get through this emergency.
