Sophie has been here since November and this is the first time they have all slept near each other. They do sleep with me but not close to each other. Teddy sleeps on my left next to my pillow, Jack sleeps on my right at my waist, and Sophie sleeps at my feet.
I think the boys now understand that the girl is here to stay. Jack is fine with it and Teddy has accepted that she is here, but she must remember that he is number ONE! Sophie says, oh whatever!
The sun is shining and it is not windy and freezing.
The guys installing the new balconies are back to work.
If it is too cold the epoxy used with the screws is ineffective.
Definitely, want the railings to be secure.
If it’s too windy they can’t work because it isn’t safe for the installers.
Certainly, want them to be safe and secure.
The cats are not happy about the noise.
He just wants it done.
It’s hard to nap with all the noise.
Not exactly happy but putting up with it.
So, today I am celebrating
the good weather and working conditions,
the guys working and doing a good job,
and my sweet catkids.
Today I got my new sofa for the living room,
slipcovers for the chair and ottoman,
and bed for the guest room.
Everything looks good.
Teddy has checked it all out.
Jack could care less.
I put double sided sticky tape on everything.
It’s meant to discourage cats from scratching furniture.
So far Teddy has scratched one of the tapes off the ottoman
and has been licking the tape on the chair.
Again, Jack could care less.
Good thing I am not a perfectionist
and don’t mind a few dings, dents, scratches, holes…
Mama said I could chat with you today.
Usually not much happens around here but the other day
I knew something was up when I got put in the cage.
Jack wanted to help get me out but like me
he has paws and no hands so couldn’t open the door.
He is a pest but I gotta say he was a trooper and tried his
best to help me.
My doctor is a very nice guy and loves cats
but he is still the man with the thermometer and needle.
This time, there was a shot but no thermometer.
Do you know where the thermometer goes?
It’s not a place things are supposed to go into only out of.
Oh, and the scale. I have been on a diet. Really I have.
I have been hungry, so very hungry since the last time I saw him.
And I gained 2 pounds!
I was a little upset and embarrassed.
The hug made me feel much better.
He said not to worry about it but to try not to gain anymore.
Then it was back in the cage for the ride home.
Believe me, when I say there is no place like home!
